Hurricane Milton Update – Airport Plans to Reopen Saturday, October 12th

The St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport plans to reopen and resume flights on Saturday, October 12th.  All businesses will reopen at the terminal.   Rental car operators are open today.

Airport Operational Assessment:

• The Airport Terminal building is operational.  There were water leaks that are being dried out. It will reopen at 4:30 am.
• The airfield and runways are open.
• Airport Rescue and Firefighting station is fully operational.
• Allegiant will bring aircraft back on Friday evening for Saturday operations.
• Vehicles parked in the airport’s parking lots may be retrieved.  Limited parking options are currently available.  There was no flooding in airport parking lots.
• Some wayfinding signs are down.
• General Aviation Operator Signature Flight Support is open and aircraft fueling operations available.
• General Aviation Operator Sheltair Aviation is currently closed.
• The Landings, private aircraft hangar facility, is currently closed.

Please allow extra time for travel to the airport and use extra caution as many traffic signals are not operational.   Thank you for your patience as we work toward becoming fully operational.
