Traveling through PIE this summer? Plan ahead and allow extra time for an easy airport experience.

Before You Arrive

  • Consider getting a ride to the airport. Parking lots may reach capacity during peak travel periods, especially on holiday weekends.
  • Long-term parking will close when full, and guests will be directed to Economy Lots with complimentary shuttle service to the terminal.
  • Overnight parking is not permitted in Short-term Parking.
  • Check parking maps, rates, and transportation information at fly2pie.com/parking.

Picking Up Passengers

  • Use the free Cell Phone Lot while waiting for arriving passengers.
  • Curbside areas are for active loading and unloading only.
  • Drivers must remain with their vehicles at all times. Unattended vehicles may be towed.

Airline & Terminal Tips

  • Arrive at least 2 hours before your scheduled departure.
  • PIE has two separate gate areas (Gates 2–6 and Gates 7–11) that are not connected. Verify your gate location before proceeding through security.
  • Be at your gate and ready to board at least 50 minutes before departure.
  • Check directly with your airline for flight updates and carry-on bag requirements:

  • REAL ID-compliant identification is required for travelers age 18 and older.
  • TSA PreCheck travelers should confirm the TSA PreCheck indicator appears on their boarding pass.
  • Firearms and ammunition are prohibited in carry-on bags and must be properly declared in checked baggage.
  • Pack smart and review TSA’s “What Can I Bring?” guidance before traveling.
  • Allow extra time for parking, check-in, baggage drop, and security screening.
  • Follow instructions from TSA officers and airport staff to help keep lines moving safely and efficiently.
