PIE Terminal Improvement Project – 2024
To accommodate the extraordinary growth that the airport has experienced over the last ten years, the airport has begun conceptual designs for a terminal building expansion to meet our current and future passenger needs.
In the spring of 2024, the airport competitively procured the design team of C&S Companies and Gensler & Associates to provide these professional services. Manhattan Construction Company, LLC was also competitively procured as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to assist in the design and to ultimately construct the project.
The total project budget is $110M. The project will be funded by FAA and FDOT grants, and airport reserve funds.
The goal of the project is to provide additional space for hold rooms, restrooms, concessions, and associated public spaces, expand the out-going baggage make-up area, and improve on inefficiencies that currently exist in the terminal building.
Stay tuned to this website for future news on this exciting project for the airport as we advance the design forward.
For vendors interested in pursuing opportunities to compete for work related to this project, more information will be forthcoming in early 2026 and posted on this webpage.
